Ivanko was born in Yougoslavie and moved to Paris 25 years ago.
From his early years, he was attracted to the art of comics, and highly influenced by Hugo Pratt, Milo Manara and Katsushika Hokusa.
When he arrived in Paris, he became fascinated by Picasso, Cezanne, Matisse and Joaquin Sorolla, amongst others. He expanded his artistic education and graduated from the Ecole du Louvre.
Inspired by the international artistic crowd, he discovered Montmartre and began collaborating with other artists, following the large traditionof painters that live and work there.
Ivanko’s style emphasizes visible brushstrokes and strong color to build the story and bring emotion to the painting. His art depicts urban scenes and he finds inspiration in every aspect of the Parisian daylife.
Currently he share his vision through other media, photography, capturing unique moments through his camera. This change has brought new life to his work and allows him to diversify and to excel.
